A Primary school in Strandfontein has had two stabbing incidents this week involving pupils using scissors.
A meeting is expected to take place with the parents of the suspected perpetrators at Strandfontein Primary School soon.
Western Cape Education Department spokesperson, Millicent Merton, explains one of the pupils pretended to stab a girl using a pair of scissors.

“On Tuesday, a boy reportedly pretended to stab a girl with the handles of a pair of scissors. The school took disciplinary action,” she says.
She says in the second incident, a female pupil was stabbed on the hand with a pair of scissors during an argument between two other learners.
“In another incident, a learner reported she was accidentally nicked with scissors during an argument between two other learners.
“A meeting has been scheduled with the alleged perpetrator’s parents.”
Cases have not been opened with police.
The father of the 10-year-old who was stabbed in the hand says he has decided not to take any action against the boy as he is considering the child’s age and the circumstances.
“I am still awaiting feedback from the school,” the dad says.
“I also have to consider that this is a young boy and that (making a criminal case) could destroy his future.”
