“The shoes we gave to children who were in need, where parents have no income.
“We identified different families in our communities who were in need. The shoes were different sizes and we did have one child who we didn’t have a pair of shoes for after she came appealing at our doors.
“We managed to sponsor her for a new pair of shoes and put a smile on her face.”
Rachel Anthony, the manager of Littlewood Primary School Drill Squad, says they were proud to be part of the handover and presentation.
“We had 25 children who carried out a drill march from Kilimanjaro Street to the crèche where a presentation was held for the handover of the shoes.
“We were proud to be part of such an event.”
