The infamous “ Dik Skelm” is back with a bang and was arrested this week after allegedly stealing chocolates and cellphone chargers from a Plumstead store.
After spending three years in the mang, convicted fraudster Portia Goodwin, 36, aka Bompie, popped up on the Daily Voice’s radar on Wednesday night after a video of her fleeing the Economic Café went viral on chat groups.
In the video, the Manenberg woman - who made headlines in 2016 for scamming dozens of Cape Flats mense by selling them fake shopping vouchers - is seen leaving the store with a female friend, followed by the shop manager.
The friend gets in the backseat, while Goodwin gets into the front passenger seat of a silver VW Polo.
The manager sticks his hand through the window, apparently trying to get something from her, but the driver speeds off with the man hanging onto the window.

The 31-year-old man, who asked not to be named, says Goodwin and her friend entered the store and told him they wanted to buy eight slabs of chocolate and iPhone chargers and flashed R100 notes at him.
“They said they don’t have enough money and took the stuff and went out to the car to get more money and I followed them, but when I got there, she refused to give the money. I grabbed the window and they drove off,” the manager tells the Daily Voice.
The man says he was dragged for about 100 metres until he fell and collapsed in the street.
He was rushed to Victoria Hospital where he was treated for an injured collarbone and head wounds.

The matter was reported to Diep River SAPS later that day.
Speaking to the Daily Voice just minutes before handing herself in to cops on Wednesday night, Goodwin claimed the manager was a liegbek who sold her fake entjies.
She claimed to have bought four cartons of Marlboro at the store last week for R6000, but says when she went home to Manenberg, smokers told her it was majat.
“He is lying, I never stole from the shop,” she insisted.
“When I got home, the people who bought the entjies said it was fake so I went back to him.
“I asked for a refund and he refused so I bought seven more cartons which he gave me and I paid him for three.
“I left the shop and thought I am going to get him back and told him the money for the other four were in the car and then my husband drove away.”

Goodwin said after spending three years in jail, she’s given up the thug life.
“I am going to the station now. I was in Pollsmoor for three years and I am done with that. I don’t have time for bullsh!tting any more, I am big now.”
Police spokesman Captain FC van Wyk says a case of theft was opened for investigation.
“Two suspects, aged 36 and 41, are detained at Diep River SAPS after they handed themselves over. They are due to appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court [today].”
