'TIS the season to rant, it seems.
Rapper AKA recently took to Twitter slamming the government for its decision to cease the sale of dop without prior notice, and even says he misses Jacob Zuma.
Following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s decision to ban dop, the SA government took to Twitter on Wednesday, saying: “The ban on the sale of alcohol and cigarette will remain in place throughout the lockdown period. The purpose is to save lives and protect the health and well-being of our people. #AlcoholBan.”
The tweet has since been deleted and a follow-up statement said that the ban on alcohol and cigarettes would last under Level 3.
In response to the initial tweet, Supa Mega, who has an endorsement deal with Cruz Vodka, fired shots at government.
Mense hit back at the Felea in Versrappr saying his rant is based on him not making money. But, AKA insisted it wasn’t only about him not “securing the bag” during this time. He claims he is concerned about the livelihood of many South Africans.
The rapper also tweeted: “An estimated 1 million jobs will be lost in the alcohol industry alone. One Million Jobs... Everything from wine farmers, to administration, drivers and logistics, down to the owners of local taverns. Even manufacturing of glass. Devastating knock-on effects.”

The star also admitted to missing ex-president Jacob Zuma saying: “I’m sure y’all miss Jacob Zuma now, don’t you? ... ungrateful b*****ds.”
