The most prestigious event on the Sactwu calendar has finally arrived, and now there is no doubt that we are on the brink of the festive season.
Mense, the 45th Annual Spring Queen pageant takes place on Saturday at Athlone Stadium.
There will also be a Junior Spring Queen pageant and the now very popular Sactwu’s Got Talent search.

There will be 58 contestants vying for Miss Spring Queen, while 10 little ones will compete for the Junior Spring Queen title.
Six contestants will battle it out in the talent search.
Gates open at 4pm and the Rockets will be keeping mense entertained with a live music set followed by the sensational Lady Zamar.
Tickets for adults are R35, and R12 for kids under 12 years old.
Last year’s Spring Queen Lusanda Ntintili will be there to hand over her crown.

On Sunday, hundreds of mense are expected to gather on the Grand Parade for the fifth annual Youth Transformation Africa (YTA) event.
Artists Jonathan Rubain, Heinz Winkler and Morgan Dennison will be leading the crowd in praise and worship.
The gospel event is the brainchild of Pastor Kyle Driver and although it is free, you still need to get your ticket from Quicket.com or inbox admin@yta.org.za.
More than 20 000 tickets have already been claimed, so jy moet vinnig speel.
Bring along a chair and there will also be loads of food stalls to buy dite.
The guest speaker is Dr. Jerome Swartz and there will be plenty of fun stuff for the kids.
