The top five of the Presenter Search on 3: Expresso Edition has been announced and two Capetonians are still in the running to come out tops.
Sadly, Cape Town singer and songwriter Jarrad Ricketts was booted off the show on Wednesday.
Presenter Search on 3 has previously found presenters for Top Billing and Afternoon Express, and has launched the careers of Jonathan Boynton Lee and the late Simba Mhere, among others.
Last year’s winners have also excelled – Thabiso Makhubela made his debut on Expresso, Palesa Tembe went to Afternoon Express and Top Billing’s, Dr. Fez Mkhize was recently crowned first runner-up at Mr. World.
This season’s contestants entered by submitting a one-minute audition video on Instagram.
Next week one more person will be sent home, leaving four contestants standing for the finale’s epic challenge, which will be broadcast on 30 October.
In the Top 5 are Deen Woodman, at 39 the oldest of the contestants, a gym lover who grew up in Mitchells Plain; and Plumstead mom and plus-size model Jamie-Lee Domburg, 29, who has earned herself the nickname “Golden Goddess” due to her sunny smile and irrepressible personality.
