One of five Cape Town talents on The Voice South Africa Top 8 was booted off the show on Sunday.
Anslin Gysman, 23, from Kuilsriver bowed out after his final performance in the group opening act.
Unfortunately, he didn’t get to perform his desired solo Paradise Road.
The payroll officer says: “My journey on The Voice SA has come to an end, but it was definitely not the last you will be seeing me. This platform has afforded me an opportunity to grow as an artist, musician and a person. I’ve grown holistically and for that I will forever be grateful.
“It was emotional yet filled with joyous moments and also some pretty stressful times. It’s sad to go, but I am happy knowing that I gave South Africa a piece of me in terms of my music and their support and love has been amazing.
Sharing his future plans with the Daily Voice, Anslin says having been voted off the competition “is not a negative thing for me”.
It will simply change the direction of his journey, he says, adding: “I have learnt what I needed to. I will be launching my single very soon and also doing my debut show as a solo artist.
“One of the biggest goals I have now is to become an ambassador for sanitary towels for ladies.
“I know that I am going to work hard and I know Cape Town and South Africa will show up in my career.”
