Kan djy’rit glo, it’s the final Friday and we’re sure you’re gonna make the most of it.
This year has seen various international acts grace the shores of the Mother City and we are happy to have been a part of all these special memories with you, our dear readers.
We hope you managed to reach all goals for this year and the New Year’s resolutions are well in place for 2019.
Whatever you’ve got planned for this weekend, please be safe on the roads and we hope this weekend is one for the books.
With all that said, let’s see what the options are on the final events calendar for 2018.
For the loyal radio voorkamer jol community, Tyrone Paulsen from HeartFM is having a live party at Inside On The Greens in Wynberg on Saturday.
The event is called The Cape Town Party and will see DJs Peter J, Vernon Carver, Roger the Dodger, Kevin Petersen, Garth B and Paulsen fire up the airwaves as he broadcasts live.
Doors open at 2.30pm, and there’s a welcome drink on arrival for the first 100 patrons.
Tickets available at the door at R200 or pre-purchase via Quicket at R150 each.
If you’re still feeling the jazzy festive gees, head out to West End for the Jazz Festival on Sunday.
Some of Cape Town’s best musicians and Choko from Trinidad and Tobago, who is quickly winning over local music fans with his Caribbean beats and energetic live performances, will make sure that it will be an evening to remember.
Other acts include powerful vocalist Vuvu Khumalo, the classy jazz band Top Dog SA featuring the evergreen Richard Ceaser and Donveno Prins, and exciting new young band SignatureSA.
Uncle Cal, the Kung Fu DJ, will be spinning some old school and current dance tunes between sets.
