That Funny Boy Band has kissed and made up, but if you’d like to see them in action you’d better book your tickets now before they break up again.
Launched in October last year, the band of singers and comics split up three weeks ago maar die maand is nog nie eens uit nie, and they’re already planning a reunion.
Waseef Piekaan, Jamie Bartus, Alen the Singing Car Guard, and Shakir Chuqy Hansen are social media stars in their own right, but then decided to pool their talents after making a funny video together.
In their short time together, the band produced five sings - Senorita Cape Flats Remix, Jou ma en pa is ninja turtles, Famous nursery rhymes, Festive Meisie and Own 2020.
The band split up after Alen accused Waseef publicly of owing him money, and also because the gents wanted to concentrate on their solo careers.
Waseef says: “We decided to get back together mostly for the music and the fans.
“We realised that we now know each other better and that we are able to work together and put our differences aside.
“When it comes to money, we never owed Alen, he always got paid and so did all the band members.
“It is a matter of respecting each other’s talent and ability and we have matured in this regard.
“We actually became like brothers and sometimes fought like sisters but in the end we all missed each other hence we made up.”
Waseef says their reunion will take place on Valentine’s Day at the Joseph Stone.
