There’s a new face coming to Ruiterbosch on Suidooster in October and it’s a familiar face that Cape Town loves.
After a 10-year absence, Loukmaan Adams, 42, is making a comeback to the small screen, and he says he’s very excited to come and “ruffle some feathers” in Ruiterbosch.
The actor has been busy on the stage in recent years, appearing in Marc Lottering’s Aunty Merle, and the hard-hitting production Just Men, both at the Baxter Theatre.
Loukmaan says his last TV role was in Malan en Kie on SABC2, alongside his brother Emo Adams, 41.

“After Auntie Merle, I was looking for some new opportunities and did some writing,” he tells the Daily Voice.
“But a while ago Oscar Petersen, the casting director at Suidooster, contacted me to come for an audition for a prominent guest role.
“It was nerve wracking to do this audition since the talent at Suidooster is exceptional, which made it even more intimidating.”
Loukmaan says he tried to get onto the popular kykNET soapie before.
“This wasn’t my first audition fo r Suidooster; in 2017, I did an audition for the role of Mymoena’s (Jill Levenberg) brother, Ismail.
“And now I’m finally going to make my appearance in Suidooster in a role that is perfect for me!”

He’s keeping vinger oppie lip about his role, but says if he plays his cards right, he might stay on for a few more seasons.
“The only thing I’m allowed to say about my character is that his name is Gavin, but viewers will have to wait until the end of October to see what brings Gavin to Ruiterbosch.
“My role doesn’t have a long span, but I would like to take it far and stay.”
The show’s publicist, Wilmer Müller, says they’re happy to have Loukmaan.
