Social media just can’t seem to get enough of Taliep Petersen’s children.
The late theatre icon’s youngest daughter Fatiema Petersen, 26, and her husband Junaid Galant, 28, have been trending on Facebook this week for their kwaai duet.
Fatiema and Junaid belt out the Stylistics hit, You Make Me Feel Brand New, and their video has been viewed over 40 000 times.
The video was posted by Stanley Jacobs from Strandfontein on his Facebook page, Cape Flats Stories, and he says he had approached the cute couple to do the song just for fun.
“I’m writing a book called Cape Flats Love Affair and they match the
characters, called Sam and Charly, in my book,” Stanley explains.
“The book will be released and available by month’s end.”

Stanley says he was happy when the couple responded to his request as “their singing and their bond is just perfect”.
“I uploaded it on Monday and it rocketed from there,” he adds.
Fatiema and Junaid say they’ve changed the song a bit.
“We put our own swing into it to make it a bit more modern and hip,” says Junaid.
“We record all our songs at home and then my brother makes it lekker for us with some editing, I wouldn’t be able to do this with anyone other than my wife.
“We have perfect chemistry and can sing well together.”
The couple who have been married for three years, have a five-month old baby boy.
Fatiema caught the spotlight earlier this year when she posted videos of herself singing Disney songs online and instantly became a hit.

In a Daily Voice exclusive, Fatiema revealed that she suffered from Selective Mutism, a childhood anxiety disorder characterised by a child’s inability to speak in certain social settings, such as school, often brought on by trauma.
