The daughter of former Americans gang boss, Kaldimola “Dimes” Madatt has been stabbed to death, allegedly by a neighbour following an argument.
Police say they’ve arrested a 44-year-old woman in Mitchells Plain.
On Monday, Dimes confirmed to the Daily Voice that his daughter, Lameez Madatt Gertse, passed away at hospital after she was stabbed on Saturday.
Cops say Lameez, 29, was attacked at a residence in Aquarius Way, Rocklands, just after 10.30pm.
She died hours later in hospital.

Her alleged attacker is expected to make an appearance at the Mitchells Plain Magistrates’ Court this week on a charge of murder.
Speaking to the Daily Voice while preparing for Lameez’s janaazah, Madatt claimed he did not know what the motive was for the stabbing.
Sources claim the suspect’s husband is an alleged member of the Americans gang, and was known to Lameez.
“My daughter passed away in hospital,” said Madatt.
“She was stabbed in the chest after an argument with a female resident.
“We are trying our best to lay her to rest [yesterday].”
Madatt said he didn’t know the suspect’s husband or whether he had any connection to his daughter: “I do not know anything about that. We do not know what the argument was about.
“We first want to bury my daughter before we can speak about all of this.”

In 2015, Madatt’s home came under attack when a petrol bomb was flung onto the property.
He told the Daily Voice that he had turned his life around more than a decade ago and he was a widower with five children and grandchildren.
Madatt said his family had escaped injury and asked his attackers to leave them alone
He is the brother of alleged Americans gang boss, Mogamat Sadaka Madatt.
In 2008, Sadaka was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for his involvement in drug and diamond dealing in two separate cases.
Sadaka was found in possession of 1kg of cocaine with a street value of R500 000 and two uncut diamonds valued at R82 700.
