The Manenberg dog born with five legs was stolen on the same day she appeared in the Daily Voice.
Little Angel was on Friday expected to be collected by the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, who agreed to assist.
But before the puppy could receive medical attention, she was taken by skelms driving a red Fiat Uno in Sophia Themba Street, Thambo Village, on Friday morning.
The dog’s owner, Desiree Paris, 48, frantically contacted the Daily Voice after Angel was snatched.
“The people in the community say it was a woman driving the red Uno with three men inside,” she says.
“The woman just stopped her car in the middle of the road and they put Angel inside. How can they do this?”
Desiree says she was elated when the SPCA agreed to assist.
“I want to ask the public to be on the lookout for Angel because she needs that operation.”
Belinda Abraham of the Cape of Good Hope SPCA said they were going to take X-rays of Angel’s extra leg to see if it could be surgically removed.
