A trail of blood leading from a house to a street corner may provide clues to what happened to the man who was found dead in a trolley in Lavender Hill on Wednesday.
The trolley - which contained a large plastic bag with the Rainbow Chicken logo on it, as well as another bag soaked in blood, a blanket and chips packet - was found abandoned at about 7am on Wednesday, with a shoe sticking out of it.
As a pool of blood formed under the trolley, shocked residents gathered around the body, and someone later covered it with a duvet inner.
Police have confirmed the body is that of an adult male but are yet to identify the deceased.
It is unclear whether the man was clothed or not; there were unconfirmed reports that the body had been decapitated and dismembered.
The Daily Voice observed forensic investigators placing the entire trolley inside a mortuary van.
Police secured the scene along Hillary Drive and Prince George Drive, before moving to the second crime scene at a house in Grindel Avenue a few hours later.
