This man says he is lucky to be alive after a gang of laaities set a pit bull on him in Kraaifontein.
Ralton Pieterse, 45, of Eikendal, says he was walking over Eikenfontein Train Station on Monday after 5pm when he was viciously attacked.
“On Monday, I was tiling a house in Scottsville and was walking home. When I got to Petunia Street, a klomp laaities were standing there. They asked, ‘what does uncle have for us?’ I said I have nothing.
“Then when I took the shortcut through the station, they threw stones at me and set the brown pit bull on me.
Ralton says the dog went for his private parts. He managed to ruk its jaw loose but then it went for his head.
“The dog started biting my face all the way to the back of my head. It was the narrowest escape,” he says.
“After I shook off the dog with all my might, I ran to get away from the gang and the dog.”
Ralton said he went to the doctor, who told him he is lucky to be alive and advised him to report the attack to the police.
He told Daily Voice that he went to the police station yesterday evening.
“I made a case and I’m not going to withdraw it because who will be next?
“These laaities operate there by Eikenfontein station with their brown pit bull,” he warns.
