Motor Licence Renewal and Driver’s Licencing Testing Centres will open from 9 June for customers when the nationally controlled traffic information system is fully operational again.
The City of Cape Town communicated on Friday that it will start reopening some of its Driving Licence Testing Centres and Motor Vehicle Licensing offices from 9 June, subject to national and provincial processes and health and safety regulations.
Some of these offices might open in phases to ensure all health and safety requirements are met.
Please follow the City on Facebook or on Twitter @CityofCTAlerts for more information.
Motorists are also reminded that a 90-day grace period applies for expired driving licences, learner licences, PrDPs, roadworthy certificates, vehicle registration and renewal discs from 1 June 2020.
In addition, the validity period for the renewal of a motor trade number licence is extended for a further six months from 1 June 2020.
