Two high-ranking skollies who pretended to be police officers will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court this morning after being bust in cop uniforms on Monday.
According to a source, the two men from Lavender Hill and Hillview were caught by a wakker security guard during an argument at a nightclub in Loop Street in the CBD about 3am.
“They were dressed in full police gear and even had name tags,” says the source.
“There was an argument with the club manager and they were demanding to speak to the owner.
“A security guard became suspicious and called Cape Town Central police and they responded.”
The source says the dom skollies were uitgevang when cops noticed they were wearing female uniforms and kwaai takkies.

“When the real cops arrived, they noticed their takkies and questioned them,” he says.
“They told them lieg stories that they were stationed at Woodstock SAPS, but the ouens work closely with that station because it’s in one cluster so they jumped them and found the gun.
“It appears that they were up to something, but the guard’s tip-off resulted in them being stopped.”
When police took the skollies to the station, they found several gang tattoos on their bodies, indicating the men were part of the 26s gang.
“The one ou is a general in the 26s and you could see the rank system because the other suspect was found in the possession of the gun,” says the source.

“The general won’t carry the gun because of the risk of being caught with it. The firearm’s serial number had been filed off.”
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Andrè Traut, confirms the arrest.
“The men were approached and questioned, and the fact that the one was wearing a ladies’ uniform shirt raised more suspicion.
“The two suspects were searched and an unlicensed 9mm firearm with eight rounds of ammunition were found in their possession.
“The vehicle was fitted was false number plates and the possibility that it is stolen is being investigated.
“The two suspects, aged 45 and 46, were arrested and charged for impersona- ting a police officer and the possession of an unlicensed firearm,” said Traut.
