Manchester United have been hit by a double injury blow ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash against Southampton.
Added to the embarrassment of losing 1-0 to Crystal Palace at Old Traffic last weekend, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now also sweating on the fitness of leftback Luke Shaw and striker Anthony Martial.
Shaw could be out for up to five weeks with a hamstring injury.
The Manchester United fullback pulled up during the first half of the defeat to Palace and scans have confirmed that the 24-year-old is facing at least a month on the sidelines.

With Diogo Dalot also injured, the loss of Shaw means club captain Ashley Young will step into the starting line-up.
It might also mean the end of a move away from Old Trafford for Marcos Rojo, who was linked with a move to either Monaco or AC Milan before the end of the European transfer next week.
While Martial, who suffered a blow to the thigh, is not expected to be sidelined for a long period, but will in all likelihood miss the clash against the Saints.
Martial’s injury might have an impact on the future of Alexis Sanchez.
