Mamelodi Sundowns lifted the PSL title on Saturday, but uncertainty remains over whether they will still be champions by the end of this week.
Sundowns secured a 1-0 victory at Free State Stars on Saturday, who they relegated to the NFD at the same time.
Phakamani Mahlambi’s 44th-minute winner took Downs one point clear of rivals Orlando Pirates and the 59-point haul was enough to secure Kabo Yellow back-to-back titles and a ninth overall.
But Sundowns could still be docked points.
The PSL last week appealed their Disciplinary Committee’s decision to fine Downs monetarily for fielding suspended Wayne Arendse in a league match last October.

The league, instead, believe the Brazilians should forfeit the match and the matter was set to be resolved on Friday, but Downs and the PSL could not agree on an arbitrator.
With the title still up in the air, coach Pitso Mosimane says he is “not excited” despite his team celebrating with the trophy on Saturday in Bethlehem.
Bra Jingles says: “As I said, it’s bigger than any other league titles we have won.
“Lot of issues around this title.
" As I said, I’m not excited for the league title.
“It was a hard-fought one and especially for me, we created a lot of enemies. It’s not nice to win a title like this, it’s not nice.”
