There must be wedding fever in Cape Town because another local celebrity got married.
Radio and TV presenter Tracey Lange is a married woman after tying the knot with her long-term partner Avukile Mabombo.
The couple was engaged for a year and got married in an intimate ceremony on Thursday, and spent the day touring Cape Town where they took pictures at various spots before their reception at the Old Foundry Hotel.
The blushing bride wore a white, calf-length frock and posted several photos on Instagram, saying: “We love our city and we wanted to take our pictures in this beautiful city! We couldn’t think of a better way to get around the city for photos and to have the entire bridal party with us to keep the vibe going.”
The new Mrs Mabombo captioned her online wedding album: “That’s a wrap on the wedding week! We’ve been blessed with the greatest guests, organizers, service providers, friends, family, bridal party and venue. A special thanks to the excellent staff and service @oldfoundryhotel for allowing us to take over your space and allowing us to do whatever we needed to do and for being a home for the last week.(sic)”
Avukile wore a navy blue suit, brown shoes and grey waistcoat, while Tracey wore a glittering lace champagne-coloured dress.
The couple toured the world for three years, visiting 17 countries, before Avukile proposed at home last year.
“We got engaged in Cape Town, in our space. We met seven years ago at a mutual friend’s birthday party, but we’ve been together for just over five years,” Tracey said at the time.
