If you thought the first season of kykNET’s talent competition Maak My Famous was kwaai, you’re in for a treat with season two starting this month.
Emo Adams and his co-presenter Tarryn Lamb will be back on your TV screens to introduce you to some talented people.
With more than 8 000 entries this year, Emo and the show’s mentors had a tough time identifying a top 48.
The contestants are divided into groups of 12 for the first four episodes.
“We brought so many new and exciting elements to the second season. We introduced a new category for the groups and rappers and they are insanely good,” says Emo.
“Of course the Emo ticket is back, do I use all of them? You have to wait and see!”
The mentors for this season include Alistair Izobel, Nur Abrahams and Charlton Daniels, as well as actress and singer Rushney Ferguson, who joins the panel.
You’ll be pleased to know that 18 of the top 48 hail from Cape Town, while three are from as far afield as Namibia.
Maak My Famous kicks off on 29 April on kykNET, DStv channel 144, at 8pm on kykNET & kie, DStv channel 145 at 9pm.
