There were bright smiles all around on Thursday morning as GrandWest in collaboration with Now Build Relationships (NBR) organisation handed over school essentials to learners at Nerina Primary School in Bonteheuwel.
All 950 pupils from Grade R to Grade 7 received school uniforms, backpacks and stationery to the value of R600 000.
The laaities were treated to a musical show by the Mitchells Plain Music Academy and the school choir.
Principal Quinton Paulse told learners Christmas had come early for them.
“You know how people call it Christmas in July, well today, Christmas is in March because thanks to these lovely people everyone will be gifted with something today,” Paulse told the excited pupils seated in the quad.

“I encourage every learner here to wear them with pride and to work hard to live up to the investments that are being made in you and your future.
“Remember, though, that investment is just one part of the equation. You are the other part.
