Police are looking for brazen thieves who robbed a larney jewellery store in Green Point on Wednesday.
Just after 10am, the Uwe Koetter Jewellers in the Cape Quarter Shopping Centre was stormed by four men, one armed with a gun and the others with hammers.
Shortly after the incident, a shocked employee told the Daily Voice“it all happened so fast”.
“We are traumatised. The store was open and I was in the back. I saw one guy with a gun.
“Luckily, no one got hurt. We just stood still before they shot someone,” said the employee, adding the store would be closed.
The suspects smashed the glass cases and grabbed what they could.
It is not clear what was taken or how much the stolen jewellery is worth.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, confirmed the incident and says the suspects fled in a white Ford Fiesta.

They held security guards and staff at gunpoint and fled with an undisclosed amount of diamonds.
