An alleged Hard Livings gang boss, who was gunned down in a brazen hit at a garage in Kenilworth on Saturday night, was killed in a suspected revenge attack for the death of a Vikings gang leader.
Ebrahiem “Hiema” Ismail, 46, was shot 17 times in the head and the chest by two men who opened fire on his BMW at the Caltex petrol station in Doncaster Road at 6.45pm.
Hiema, who had his right leg amputated, died instantly.
Within 30 minutes, four suspects were arrested after a car chase and shootout with cops.
Hiema, from Bokmakierie, was a well-known drug merchant who had been embroiled in a bitter fight over turf. Police sources say his murder was retaliation for the killing of Shafiek “Fiekie Viking” Meyer, 42, who was shot dead outside a mosque three weeks ago.
According to shocking video footage at the garage, Hiema is parked at the petrol pump in his blue BMW when a man in a grey hoodie starts firing at him through the passenger window.

A second gunmen then fires directly at his head through the driver’s window.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Andrè Traut, says the gunmen fled the scene in a gold Toyota Avanza but were followed by members of the public who alerted cops.
He explains: “K9 Unit members reacted to the broadcast of the incident and spotted the vehicle.
“The high-speed pursuit where shots were exchanged between police and the suspects ended in Jakes Gerwel Drive in Goodwood where the men, aged 20, 25, 29 and 35, were arrested.
“Two unlicensed 9mm pistols, believed to be the murder weapons, were confiscated. Investigations revealed the vehicle was hijacked in Kleinvlei.”
According to a high-ranking cop, the four men from Delft and Mitchells Plain are members of the Vikings gang who were sent to kill Hiema for his role in the death of Fiekie, who was killed while leaving a mosque in Bokmakierie on 15 March.

Two gunmen walked up to Fiekie and shot him six times in the head as he left Jumu’ah salaah.“The two who shot Hiema are from Mitchells Plain and the other two in the car are from Delft, but they are all Vikings,” reveals the source.
“This is a suspected retaliation for the death of Fiekie as the HLs and the Vikings are in a fight over drug turf.
“Hiema was one of the main suspects for the hit on Fiekie because the HLs were trying to take over Fiekie’s turf.
“Both Hiema and Fiekie smokkel in that area and Hiema is known mostly for buttons [mandrax].”
The source adds that one of the gunmen had an extended magazine in his possession.
“On the scene there were 23 cartridges but Hiema was shot 17 times, mostly in the head and chest, and died instantly.

“At this stage it is unclear if the BMW was his wife’s car or if he just had plates put on with her name (Sumaya), but while they (forensics) were taking his body out, a young girl came on the scene and they say she is the new wife. She and Sumaya (who arrived separately at the scene) were giving mekaar vuil kyke.”
Traut says once charged, the four men will appear in court where they face charges including murder, attempted murder, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and the possession of a hijacked vehicle.
