The Daily Voice has rolled out the red carpet, and on Saturday, 250 glamorous divas from all over the Cape Flats put their best foot forward for our second annual Diamonds and Divas event.
The glittering bash was held at the GrandWest Market Hall where the ladies were treated to a lekker brunch, super give-aways, free manis and pedis, and stunning entertainment under the masterful direction of MC, Chad Chitter aka DJ Skouers.
The line-up of entertainment included the soulful Claire Phillips with the band Signature SA; Cape Town’s own diva, Salome; comedic duo David Isaacs and Oscar Petersen from Joe Barber; and cooking queens Fatima Sydow and Gadija Sydow Noordien who gave a demonstration of how to make the most delicious malva pudding.
In between, DJ Portia was on the decks to keep the vibe going, while our sponsors gave informative talks and demonstrations about their services.
The Daily Voice is proud to be associated with our sponsors Sun International, Standard Bank, GrandWest, Banners Perfect, Beauty Affinity, Sydow Sisters, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc., Luxx Society, Minnie Dlamini, Moi Mooi, Sterns, Sunny Girl, Urban Decay, and Yardley London.
One lucky reader received a beautiful onyx ring from American Swiss, valued at R10 000.
The former lead singer of the Stylistics, Eban Brown ended off the show with hits from yesteryear.
At the end of the day, everyone received a stunning goodie bag, while ticketholders could also attend the Peaches and Herb show later on at the Grand Arena.
Daily Voice fan Lameez Abzal looked beautiful in her blue feathers and diamonds, and extra-long blue eyelashes “just for the glamour of it all”.
“I prepared for this day well in advance, I had my outfit before the event date was even announced, I faithfully waited for this day so that I could wear my divalicous outfit,” she said.
