The first live round of The Voice SA has kicked off and once again Cape Town’s singers proved why they should be in the competition.
Two of our talents now need your votes to carry them through to the next round.
Bonteheuwel twin brothers Peter and John Talmakes, aka the PJ Twins, and Mitchells Plain songbird Krista Jonas brought their A-game in the first live round on Sunday night.
The charming 26-year-old twins from Bonteheuwel sang Luther Vandros’ Never Too Much and coach Riky Rick said the twins are “one of the most versatile acts in this competition”.

Krista, 29, closed the show with Adele’s classic Rolling In The Deep.
Her performance had Riana Nel in tears while Francois van Coke had to apologise.
“I think I swore on the mic because that was so good!” he said.
LIRA told a smiling Krista: “You know how to channel that raw emotion when you get on that stage.”

Krista says performing live on TV for the first time is a once in a lifetime experience.
“When I stepped on stage Sunday I was blown away, all those people, the lights, the cameras... It is surely a moment I’ll treasure forever.”
After the top 16 did an opening performance, the two top saves of the Strepsil Viewer's Votes, Ashur Petersen and Sone Joubert battled its out . But only one could land that 17th spot and Sone was chosen as the winner.
