Lately there’s been such awesome news about South Africans doing amazing things.
It feels to me like we are on the precipice of something phenomenal as a nation; like the world’s doors are finally opening for the African talent that’s been lying dormant for all these years.
Or maybe the world is just running out of good ideas, and African talent is the only thing left to explore and exploit.
Either way, this is a perfect opportunity for our youngsters to head abroad and seize the opportunities.
It’s been a very slow journey to get us to this point, but I feel it is now finally happening.

We have gone from Charlize Theron and Arnold Vosloo, to a decade that gave us Trevor Noah, Elon Musk, Sho Madjozi, the Ndlovu Youth Choir, Black Panther and so many more.
And even more of our local celebs are taking the jump to tackle Hollywood.
What this means is that they are becoming accustomed to experiencing South Africans as hard-working and talented individuals.
And that is good news for you with the raw talent in the township dreaming of the big time.
Soon, just saying that you’re South African will be enough to get you through some very important doors. And it’s about time!
