A tug-of-war for the services of Brazilian superstar Neymar is currently evolving in the Premier League.
Having fallen out of favour with fans at French club Paris St Germain after once again failing to win the Champions League this season, the 31-year-old is rumoured to be on his way to England.
And following last week’s revelations that Manchester United’s Casemiro is playing middelmannetjie to lure Neymar to Old Trafford, it now emerged that United’s Manchester rivals City’s coach Pep Guardiola phoned the Brazilian to “sound out the player’s state of mind”.
🚨 Neymar received a call from Pep Guardiola. Pep wanted to know the Brazilian’s intentions this summer but at the moment there’s very little chance of seeing Neymar sign for Manchester City.

Brazil legend Rivaldo reckons Old Trafford is the place to be, telling Betfair: “Playing in the best league in the world in the shirt of a legendary club is something that suits very well a great player like Neymar who needs a new challenge.
“The team secured Champions League qualification, have already won the League Cup and can still win the FA Cup, so I see Neymar arriving at a more structured club now and one that is ready to welcome a football superstar who will surely give a lot to them.”
With the two Manchester clubs interested, it is also rumoured that Arsenal and Newcastle, who have both secured Champions League football for next season, are also interested.
