Pitso Mosimane on Monday walked away from his post as coach of Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
Since joining the "Club of the Century" from Mamelodi Sundowns in September 2020, the former Bafana Bafana coach led the Cairo side to two Caf Champions League titles.
But after losing to Wydad Casablanca last month in Al-Ahly's third straight final appearance and failing to add to their 42 league titles, pressure has been building on him.
The 57-year- old has been target of a barrage of criticism from former Al-Ahly stars.
" Later on Mosimane's decision was discussed and it was decided to approve his request to part ways with the club."
